Problem
The challenge was keeping each piece compelling without relying on narrative or color, using only the push and pull of form and surface.
Goal
Create a reusable abstract poster series with timeless visual appeal. I wanted this series to work across creative disciplines — as background art for branding, moodboards, or high-end product marketing. The look is clean but emotionally rich, designed to add elegance and spatial calm to any visual context.
My Process
Each piece was constructed by layering geometric shapes with controlled depth and shadow. I focused on soft material transitions — matte concrete, brushed aluminum, translucent film — and used natural light simulations to create movement within stillness. No color beyond grayscale and beige was used, keeping the tone grounded and universally adaptable.
Impact
Form & Surface was well-received for its quiet sophistication and design flexibility. Designers used it in portfolio headers, fashion linebooks, and even luxury skincare packaging. Its neutral palette and soft spatial feel made it highly adaptable — ideal for those seeking minimalism without sterility.
